What do you think this really means? 2Chronicles 7:14 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
A pastor friend of mine from India said last night the most profound statement I have heard in a long time. In his nation the president and the prime minister are Hindu and he said that Christianity is growing in spite of these men being in charge of the country.
He then explained that it doesn't matter who is in office but rather it is the spirit behind the issues that are going on that matters.
To me that means that satan gets us all distracted by looking at the lives of these men and what they have and haven't done that "we" agree with so we get on our soap boxes and we get blinded by our pride of being able to express our opinion instead of praying for God's spirit to be in control and for evil intentions to draw us away from God would be stopped.
If a nation ran by ungodly people like India is and can be growing in Christianity by leaps and bounds then America can too.
I agree and understand that it is the spirit behind all of it that is the issues. What are we commanded to do in the Word? Not pray for your "Man" to win, but rather to just pray. If we pray with ourselves out of the way, and our agendas out of the way and instead rebuke in Jesus' name any spirit that would try and lead people away from God, and then pray God's grace and mercy over our nation and for His spirit to be in control then what does He promise? He promises to heal our land!
That is big and a lot different than getting the right man in office. We must wake up and understand that satan is so crafty in all the ways that he leads people away from God and keeps us from seeing the real issues.
Please pray for the spirit of God to move on whoever is in office, the whole of all that involves, and stop trying to make your point of who is the right man, and keep your mind at peace so that you can hear what it is that God wants us to pray about and He will do what He promises.
In Isaiah 55:8-11 God tells us this “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eaten, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
